Old Windsor Tigers Reds v Ascot Utd

Delighted with the performance today and goes to show what the team is capable of achieving when they do play as a team.   It was fantastic to see the boys settled and moving the ball around with confidence and this coupled with a fantastic performance from Bas and the defence allowed us to push forward at every opportunity finishing the first half 4-1 up.

Ascot came out more determined at the start of the second half and the boys did a great job at containing any threat and still added a further two to their tally.

I was really pleased with how they linked up and worked together, but particular mention for Aaron for his man of the match performance at the back - ably supported by the other defenders who fought for every ball and done well to contain two talented strikers from the Ascot side.

Also well done to Alfie A for his hat-trick - very pleased to see him on the score sheet and I am sure it won't be his last.

No training this week on Wednesday but we do have a friendly against Wycombe Elite on Friday evening at Burnham Grammar.

Well done boys - very proud of you all and looking forward to many more displays like today!

Goal Scorer(s): Bilall Butt, Brad Birchmore, Alfie A (x3), Danny D
Man of the Match: Aaron
